On connaît désormais les nommés de la dix-huitième édition des Blues Blast Music Awards, qui se distinguent des autres car ils ne portent pas sur une année civile (du 1er janvier au 31 décembre), mais sur une période allant du 1er juin 2023 au 31 mai 2024. Ils sont comme toujours choisis par un collectif comprenant des critiques musicaux, des journalistes, des organisateurs de festivals, des gérants de salles de spectacles, des musiciens et d’autres professionnels de l’industrie musicale. Ces Awards comptent vingt-trois catégories et apparaissent également plus « ouverts » que d’autres du genre, avec à mon sens un meilleur équilibre entre les représentants des différentes générations. Chacun peut influer sur les résultats, car depuis hier 15 juillet 2025, ce vote est ouvert à tous et gratuitement à cette adresse jusqu’au 31 août.
